This has not been one of my favorite years. It seems I’ve spent most of the year in the valley. I have kept my chin up with the promise that valleys coexist with peaks. As I was flying into California a few weeks ago I captured this photo. A sense of peace came over me as I watched the rolling peaks and valleys. In that moment I realized my perception of this year has not been my reality. Instead of being in a low, low valley throughout the year, I’ve experienced several small valleys. Each of those valleys also had peaks. It was a good reminder to consider the good and not dwell on the not so good. It also showed me that even with the series of  peaks and valleys the overall landscape continued to elevate. They say perception is reality. I’m glad my perception was challenged on this flight. Things are looking up.
